ChefDK 0.12.0 Released

We are happy to announce a new ChefDK, version 0.12.0, has landed in the stable channel and is available for download on the Get Chef downloads site. There has not been much in the way of updates to the DK itself, but there have been updates to several of the dependent packages we bundle.

We just released Chef Client version 12.8.1 to the chef downloads site. Highlights of this release include: Support for OpenSSL validation of FIPS Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) is a United States government computer security standard that specifies security requirements for cryptography. The current version of the standard is FIPS 140-2.
